I wasn’t trying to snark:
It really was Christianity that inspired such places. Pagan cultures have also done profound things, so I’m not saying the god-fearer has no wisdom. But if we are going to be nostalgic about a time, then we ought go for the meat!
I continually am blown away by what is growing around me at the Hebron Collegium. Every morning my prayers rise with new inspiration. As I said to my congregational chairmen when he toured the facility on Friday, “I’m all in on this for the rest of my life.”
Come visit.
The final sermons in the 3 Weeks to Build an Ark series at SP815.org in Rockford are tomorrow morning. I’s pretty excited for the payoff: it’s our rainbow!
Every spare moment I get (which is not many, is going into building a desk for the overseer’s studio. I don’t know who the next overseer of the Hebron Collegium will be, but hopefully by then he’ll inherit a great study/office/workshop/great-hall and a slightly more developed website.
The website waits for the desk….
Doing a better job of cataloging some of the early quality content here, such as the Smart note series, is now also taking my attention. But I am going to be sharing more of the Smart Notes kind of information on my tiktok:
And where all this is scrolling into oblivion on twitter, I’m endeavoring to keep the good word the focus of my own life, and then share it whenever I find it. Thanks for being here on the ride! One day at a time. One task when it’s really needed. Then, rest well in knowledge that tomorrow morning we may all wake in paradise.
And perhaps, by GOD's grace, you will continue your building in some manner into that eternal Paradise. {Isaiah 61}
"Therefore, my beloved brethren,
be steadfast,
immovable,
excelling in the work of the LORD always,
knowing that your toil is not in vain
in Jesus."
{I-Cor. 15}
You are doing a wonderful work there.
