Miss a Day
What happens when I miss a day?
If I don’t post, will I have failed you? Or would you even notice? So many messages are flying every which way.
If you miss church, does anyone notice? I’m sure that God does, but it’s not himself he’s worried about. It’s you he loves.
Just like it's you who notices when you fall short, it's you who notices when you come up flat, and it's you who notices when, even though you’ve given it your all, you just didn’t have enough to give in the end.
God sees you noticing. He watches you shame yourself. And then he casts himself heedlessly into the breach, grabs your soul by blood pact and jams you all the way to paradise in Jesus' Name.
That’s Christianity. That’s some seriously excellent news.
