More Deadly than Itself

Greed is the Hunger. Envy, the shame.
Wrath is but Malice, a devil by name.
Lust hastes, Heedless. Gluttons? Despair.
Sloth hides, a Coward. Pride is not rare.
But Humility, Wisdom and calm Contemplation,
Diligence and Bravery, these make a Nation.
With Patience and Chastely, Kindness assured,
The best use of speech is encouraging words.
