I am finding myself compelled more and more to make choices and do things not only on the basis of how close they are to me in geography, but also how close to me they are in time. That which is local is most often that which helps today. That, I am choosing more often. That which far away might help some day maybe, I am declining to give space in my life to.

Sadly, that means Earth.
