🗝️ “You hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times.” — Matthew 16:3
The day is not yours—it is written.
The scroll is open, if your eyes are.
The Light shines, but men love darkness still.
Read. Then rule. The day is no empty canvas. It is a living script.
🛡 Fourfold Charge 🗡
1. Show Up — “Present Yourselves”
📖 Romans 12:1 — “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.”
A man cannot fight a battle he does not attend. To show up is not passive—it is priestly. Wake up. Stand up. Report in. Present your body, mind, soul to Christ. Open the Scriptures. Put your feet on the floor. Psalm 1 before screen 1. Before you are a doer, be a presented man. “Here I am.” First words of Adam were silence. First words of Christ? “Behold, I have come.”
🗝 Ask: Have I chosen to follow Jesus Christ today? Have I asked Him to keep me in the Spirit? Have I drunk deep from the font at least once?
2. Own Up — “Confess the Fault”
📖 Proverbs 28:13 — “He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.”
To own up is to own your fall and your call. You are not righteous by nature—you are righteous by gift. But the gift is not cheap. A man who hides his faults builds a grave. A man who names his sin builds an altar. Repentance is not a one-time act—it is a way of life. The Cross is not a necklace—it is your sword-hilt and your shame. Grip it, and speak the truth: “I have sinned. But Jesus Christ is greater than my sin.”
🗝 Ask: What needs to be said that no one is saying? What remains hidden that needs to be brought to light? What burns in your heart to hear with your ears?
3. Saddle Up — “Gird Your Sword”
📖 Psalm 45:3 — “Gird Your sword upon Your thigh, O Mighty One, with Your glory and Your majesty.”
The Son of David rides armed. The Son of Solomon wears wisdom. The Son of God bears the Word. To saddle up is to prepare for the ride with what has been given: the helmet of salvation, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the scroll of Proverbs in your pocket, the prayer in your throat. It is not enough to know—you must be clothed. It is not enough to speak—you must be armed. Saddle up means: Dress for dominion.
🗝 Ask: Am I fighting the wind rather than walking on the waves? Am I hastening with my feet rather than standing upright? Do I know who I am in Christ?
4. Ride Out to Win — “Run in Such a Way”
📖 1 Corinthians 9:24 — “Run in such a way that you may obtain it.”
This is not a practice fight. This is the day. This is your war. “Today if you hear His voice, do not harden your heart.” Ride out does not mean wander. It means charge. Whatever your field—home, desk, shop, street, pulpit, plow—ride into it as a Son of the King. Not afraid to die, not eager to boast, not distracted by fools. Ride for the win. And what is the win? To hear the words: “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
🗝 Ask: Do I seek comfort or glory? Eros, or Agape? A tower, or a cross?
🔥 Prayer
Jesus Christ, King of Kings, make me present in Your court, humble in Your truth, armored in Your Word, and bold in Your mission. Let me show up, own up, saddle up, and ride out—until the Day You call me home. Amen.
