Thank You
No audio this week so that I might walk at liberty over the 4th. But I’m not exactly sitting on my thumbs. Alleluia! Audio updates, the War Against Hecate and more in due season.

📜 “Firstborn of many brothers.” —Romans 8:29.
The crucified Son is not ashamed to call you brother. He is not ashamed of your leg, your tears, your long delay. He knows what the fall costs. He knows what it takes to rise. And He chose to go first. Not so you could admire Him. But so you could follow Him. As kin. As brother. As blood of His blood. 🔥 This is not philosophy. Not ideology. Not positive thinking. 🕊️ Thanks be to God. You are not outside the story. You are inside the scroll. You have been written in. And He will not erase you.
📜 THE FINAL SERMON OF SOLOMON
“Incline Your Ear…” — The Liturgical Field Homily of the Righteous King
The Sermon of Solomon—Proverbs 22:17–24:34—is not a mere collection, but a crafted homiletic insertion between the Solomonic Field Scroll (10:1–22:16) and the Hezekian Scroll (25–29). Though traditionally called the “Sayings of the Wise,” it is best understood as Solomon’s own Wisdom Sermon, encoded as a liturgical scrolllet, addressed to the listening son, and spoken from the throne of internal war.
What you’ve rightly seen is this:
Solomon’s sermon was skipped, but it belongs—as the interpretive hinge—between scroll application and scroll restoration.
Let us now decode it accordingly.
🧭 STRUCTURAL OVERVIEW
Section Verses Title: Section Verses Structural Mode Primary Logic
I 22:17–21 Sermon Preface: Call to Listening: Triad + Quatrain Memory, Tongue, Trust
II 22:22–23:11 Fatherhood: Triadic Spirals, Justice, and the Land
III 23:12–28 Triad: Discipline, Pleasure, the heart of the Strange Woman
IV 23:29–35 Triad: The Drunken Soul, Idolatry and “Vision”
V 24:1–22 The Wicked: The Enemy, Love and Apocalypse
VI 24:23–34 Appendix Gate: Final Sayings of the Wise (the Sloth Cycle)
🕯️ “Incline Your Ear…” — The Homiletic Invitation
“Apply your heart… keep them within you… let them be ready on your lips.”
Triadic Logic:
• Incline your ear
• Hear the words
• Apply your heart
→ Followed by a quaternary promise in v.19–21:
• YHWH is your trust
• I’ve written 30 sayings
• To make you know what is right and true
• So that you may return a word of truth
🧠 This section opens as a covenantal lecture—in temple style—with memory, heart, tongue, and truth all brought to alignment.
⚖️ SECTION II — 22:22–23:11
Justice, Landmarks, and Orphans
“Do not rob the poor…”
“Do not move the ancient boundary…”
“Do not enter the field of the fatherless…”
This section is a covenantal ethics spiral in triads:
• Oppression → court → YHWH defends
• Land → boundary → inheritance
• Friend → neighbor → loyalty
Embedded triads cluster around property, fatherhood, and divine justice.
This is Mosaic wisdom re-spoken by the son of David.
🍞 SECTION III — 23:12–28
Pleasure, Correction, and the Strange Woman
This is a mirror of chapters 5–7, condensed into homiletic application:
• “Apply your heart to instruction…”
• “Do not withhold discipline from a child…”
• “My son, give me your heart…”
Strange woman reappears (v.27–28):
“A deep pit is a prostitute…”
“She increases the traitors among mankind…”
This section is triadic structure overlaid with grief—it is Solomon’s own midlife sorrow recast into pastoral form.
🍷 SECTION IV — 23:29–35
The Drunken Soul — A Prophetic Vision
“Who has woe? Who has sorrow? Who has contentions?”
This is a seven-question triad roll, ending in a visionary warning:
• “Your eyes will see strange things…”
• “You will lie like one on the sea…”
• “I will seek it again…”
This is Solomon preaching against his own fall—drunkenness as metaphor for idolatrous delusion.
💀 SECTION V — 24:1–22
Do Not Envy the Wicked — The Ethical Apocalypse
This is the most eschatological portion:
• “Do not be envious of evil men…”
• “By wisdom a house is built…”
• “The righteous fall seven times but rise again…”
• “Do not rejoice when your enemy falls…”
Here Solomon prepares the son for the day of shaking:
• “Calamity will rise suddenly…”
• “Who knows the ruin the LORD will bring?”
→ This section is a gate of judgment, echoing the Day of YHWH.
📜 SECTION VI — 24:23–34
Final Sayings of the Wise — Sluggard Close
This is an appendix-gate section:
• “These also are sayings of the wise…”
• “Partiality in judging is not good…”
Ends with:
• “A little sleep, a little slumber… poverty comes like a robber…”
This is the same formula from Proverbs 6—Solomon now closes the sermon where the moral began.
✨ THEOLOGICAL FUNCTION
This is not a random “saying of the wise.” It is:
• Solomon preaching his own scroll
• A king warning his son with temple-echo memory
• A mirror of 1–9, now set in field wisdom and covenantal review
He ends where he began:
“Give me your heart, my son…”
This sermon is temple court, confession, and commission. It is a wisdom homily in the mouth of a king—repenting, remembering, and reaching toward the Son yet to come. He who has ears, let him incline them. He who would speak, let him listen first.
📜 Colossians 3:18–25 — Word-by-Word Analysis

• Husbands love, as Christ loves the Church.
• Children obey, in holy delight.
• Fathers shepherd, not provoke.
• Bondservants serve, not to impress, but to bless.
