Today was filled with end-of-the-year errands, shuttling duty, end-of-the-year home projects and feelings of guilt mostly over self-imposed goals.
The fact of the matter is that becoming an optimist was one of the best decisions of my life. Discovering optimism in the doctrine of election was the next unequivocal joy. Accepting that this was Jesus’ plan all along rounds out the promises of the Gospel nicely.
It’s not about you. It’s about Jesus for you.
It’s not about Jesus without you. It’s about you, saved, standing firm, chosen, set apart, called and sent, all from Jesus, all for the Father.
Today was enough.
