Before the Siege
• Jeremiah 35: This chapter recounts the obedience of the Rechabites 👇during the reign of Jehoiakim.
• Jeremiah 34: The covenant to free Hebrew slaves and the subsequent re-enslavement, with a prophecy against Zedekiah.
During the Siege
• Jeremiah 37: Zedekiah inquires of Jeremiah, the temporary lifting of the siege by the Egyptians, and Jeremiah’s imprisonment.
• Jeremiah 38: Jeremiah is thrown into a cistern, rescued by Ebed-Melech, and speaks with Zedekiah again.
